What exactly is involved in the procedure?
Simply stated, breast augmentation involves the surgical insertion of implants – filled either with silicone or saline – with the result of increasing the size and enhancing the shape and firmness of the breasts.
How long does the surgery take?
In most cases, the surgery takes no longer than two to three hours.
Where are the incisions made and where is the breast implant placed?

Where will my surgery be performed?
Your surgery will be performed in our on-site surgical suite. Our surgical center is nationally accredited by The American Association for Accreditation of Ambulatory Surgery Facilities. During your initial consultation with Dr. Bounds, you will have the opportunity to tour our entire facility. The day of your surgery, a complete team, including Dr. Bounds, a second doctor – the anesthesiologist, a nurse, surgical assistant and medical assistant will be present in the Operating Suite. After your surgery, you will relax and awaken attended by a Registered Nurse in our recovery room. Once you are fully awake and comfortable, you may go home with someone to assist you.
How long is the typical recovery time?
In most cases, you will be able to return to work within four to seven days, which of course depends on the level of physical activity associated with your job. You are encouraged to limit your exercise activity and exertion for a few weeks after your surgery.
